The game jam theme was "Learn" for this event in which I worked with 1 other programmer.
I incorporated the theme into the mechanics of the game by presenting a series of targets which only change when shot in the correct order. The goal is for the player to learn how progression functions and target combinations, after which, a greater focus on speed or strategy can be employed by the player by choosing different ammunition to load for their next shot.


Given the short nature of game jams limiting how much the game experience could be refined, I was impressed how well the intended experience came across to players when we presented the game at the in-person event. More opportunity to improve the controls would have prevented the main player frustration I observed during the public demonstration.
